Who can see inside a deal room?

Exactly three parties: the person who opened the room, the person who used the invite link, and pokz. The room address contains a private key that is not guessable and is not published anywhere.

What happens if the other party never joins?

Accepted Answer

The room stays in the awaiting-counterparty state and nothing is secured. You can abandon it at no cost. No fee is charged for a room that does not reach the terms stage.

Can the invite link be used by more than one person?

Accepted Answer

No. The first person to join with the link becomes the counterparty of record and the room is then closed. Treat the link as confidential and send it only to the person you intend to deal with.

How is a dispute decided?

Against the terms recorded in the room. Both parties submit evidence within the window given, pokz reviews the full message record, and issues a written, reasoned decision. Decisions are final as between the parties for the purpose of the release.

Is pokz a bank or a licensed escrow agent?

Accepted Answer

No. pokz is an independent middleman service providing neutral third-party handling of private transactions. It is not a bank, payment institution, e-money issuer or licensed escrow agent, and it does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Which transactions are refused?

Accepted Answer

Anything unlawful, stolen, counterfeit or sanctioned; weapons, drugs and controlled substances; account or credential trading that breaches a platform's terms; and any transaction intended to disguise the origin of funds. The full list is in the AML and Prohibited Use policy.

Question 7

How long is a deal room kept?

Accepted Answer

Message records are retained for the period set out in the Privacy Policy so that concluded transactions can be evidenced if later challenged. You may request deletion once the retention period has passed.
